Let’s argue!
How arguments bring us back together.
Are you still canceling or are you already arguing?
With an epilogue by Arun Gandhi
An invitation to quarrel? Isn’t there already enough arguing in public, with shrill tones on the one hand and fearful silence on the other? With mud-slinging in the social media and speechlessness in many families, things can’t go on like this! Our coexistence and, ultimately, our democracy are at stake if we no longer resolve controversies in a solution-oriented manner.
This is not a book about superficial “arguing techniques”. It is a book about a different attitude to arguing – and therefore to our counterparts. Because we have to argue in order to agree on common values and rules in a diverse society. We all have the power to shape the kind of society we live in! We long for cohesion.
The appeal from the well-known presenter is: Let’s do something about it!
Podcast
How do we actually deal with each other?
Do our own actions still have any meaning? Do we even have a chance of making a positive difference? In the face of seemingly superhuman problems, these questions are on the minds of many of us. The answer is often resignation and withdrawal. Yet we have an irresistible power at our disposal.
Birte Karalus talks to personalities who tell her about their lives in a personal atmosphere: About moments when life turned around. About courage and doubt and what they think makes the difference. Touching conversations full of confidence that open up perspectives that are a welcome contrast to our now destructive world view. This podcast is a plea for big things on a small scale, for action – and against the powerlessness that is spreading in our society.
